500 New Cameras on the Métro

Radio Canada is reporting that the STM is installing 500 additional cameras (Fr) in the métro, bringing the total to 1,700. The costs will be covered by federal anti-terrorism funds.

Bike-Sharing Coming To Montreal

Spacing/Montreal notes that the city is readying a bike-sharing system modeled after Paris' "Velib". Eventually, the system will include 2,400 bicycles at 300 stations. Both will be designed by industrial designer Michel Dallaire.
