The Gazette is reporting that change might finally be afoot on the site of Downtown's most visibly underutilized space, a gigantic parking lot sitting on the southern side of the Boulevard René-Lévesque between Lucien l'Allier and Mackay streets.

The owner of the centrally located lot, a numbered company linked to the Montreal developer (and gallery owner) Robert Landau, is reportedly in discussions about selling the land, which could finally open a way to its development. The lot has been in the present state for over twenty years, after the Victorian homes that had previously occupied it were demolished in the 1980's.
